I've worked the IT/IS industry long enough to know (15 years)...college doesn't mean crap when the going really gets tough.
No, I'm NOT saying no one should go. Too many corporations still judge a resume by its 'education' portion rather than experience.
But, I've also worked with Uber certified book learned putzes who couldn't tell a switch port from a protocol port.
Those who can show both skill and degree can make it far.
Garry, in my opinion, has shown skill.
Let's see where his attitude takes him though
