Kick ban not working at all

I have a listen server, everything is working except kick ban, I have tried using name then i tried using steam, i even tried regular kick using regular server powers wont let me I get this message  -             No Target Found!   , what can I do to fix this? If I cant kick or ban the bad guys I am gonna get run all over.

First of all, you can ban with the client menu (Duh),you can use rcon banid STEAM_**:****** or you can type it out through chat. That IS PROVEN to work. That code should look something like this:

!ban <amount of time in mins (0 for perm)> <Player> <reason>

My client menu ban doesnt work, but this should. It does for me.

Didn't you get that I tried that? I know the buttons don't work! I have tried it through rcon and everything, and I get, No Target Found! Doesn't make any sense.... its like people can connect and play but when i try to kick its like there not even there..... and i tried to kick through rcon before I had any of this admin stuff installed, and still didn't work.

Is this using a hacked server?

deff. not, I purchased this game 2 days ago, then I open my game and click create multiplayer and bam I got a server, and everything works except kick and ban. I am not any kind of a hacker or cheater. I buy my stuff so its all legit. I am kinda wondering if its like my router firewall. I use sbc/at&t dsl and I have there wired/wireless all in one router box. any more info needed to help me let me know and I can give ya the info, I just wanna get this dang thing fixed.

Exactly what have you typed to try to kick or ban players?
I know you've mentioned several different attempts, but give an exact list of what you've tried please.
Also, while players are connected to your server, in console type 'status', and for good measure, type 'ulx debuginfo'
Copy paste the status information here, and find the location of the file debuginfo creates and attach it here. (when you run the command, it will tell you in console where it placed it) gmod/data/ULib I believe, but don't remember for sure.

ok crazy story I tweaked some things on this admin program and now my kick works THROUGH THE ADMIN! ITS GREAT! I open my admin menu select who I want puch the kick button and there gone! I don't know why my tweaks fixed it really but they did and it works. Thanks For All The Replies!

usarmy, remember, 3.2 of ulx doesn't allow bans through the menu. You'll have to type !ban <player> <time> <reason> in chat, or "ulx ban <player> <time> <reason>" in console.
With ulx, you don't need full player name. JamminR = "Jam" would work.
