Dedicated Server Help

PLEASE HELP. I am trying my best to get dedicated server up with ULX and ULIB. They just....wont work. I installed both into my server addons file. However, there is 2 different 1s....... 1 is in the addons file directly (from installer) other is in a lua file in addons (svn) PLEASE HELP!!!!

Your top level ULib folder should have an info.txt file in it. Your Top level ULX folder should have an info.txt file in it.

Both of these Top level folders should go INTO your addons folder.

Assuming you have the svn this should work.

When i install the svn it installs a LUA folder into my addons folder.....containing ULX and ULIB...... however they only have a bunch a lua files in each of them.

no... I don't know what you are doing... but you are doing it wrong.

the ULX folder has a ULib folder IN IT.. but your TOP LEVEL ULX folder goes in your addons folder..

I suggest you read my SVN guide in the svn forum here.

the svn when properly used should be
addons/ulx
addons/ulib
each should have an info.txt, just like every other addon in the world.
/addons/ulx/info.txt for example.
There is also a readme file there.

Don't use the installer for the newest Gmod. They don't work.
We'll have a official release (non-svn) as soon as we can.

Sorry for the inconvenience... i didnt read on how to svn it... and just did into main addons folder.... problem solved

Make sure to remove your old install from /gmod/lua/Ulib and gmod/lua/ULX
(Not the addons folders, just the old install folders)
