TF2 MOTD and menu problem

Hello,
my friend Noxn is having problems with Menus (he can't see them because his game crashes always) and someone on the server told me he was getting a TF2 MOTD ("Welcome to Team Fortress 2 Our Map Rotation"...). Noxn didn't say anything about that; I guess he didn't notice.

Put the motd.txt in the garrysmod root.

I already renamed motd.txt to messageofthedaygmod.html, put it in the garrysmod root and changed the motdfile var.
I didn't restart the server after though.

Noxn told me what error he's getting when he tries to open a menu:

We use file.Read to read motd files. file.Read is limited to .txt extention, as is Source's actual MOTD code too.
Rename your file to .txt, see if that helps.

As for your gmod/settings/users.txt ... remove duplicate entries. You don't need players as both admin and superadmin.
They get inherited in both ULib and Gmod.

Thanks, it works now I think.
But the menu error still persists.
