Looked everywhere in "http://ulyssesmod.net/Ulysses" and I didn't see any UPS folders =/

Looked everywhere in "http://ulyssesmod.net/Ulysses" and I didn't see any UPS folders =/

You need to do a physical checkout to see it, not sure why our host doesn't show it in http server.

Thank you very much for that. It only shows all the other folders with a physical checkout (as you suggested); maybe something to do with read permissions?

 ;D THIS IS THE BEST! I COULDNT FIND ANYTHING TO FIX MY PROP PROTECTION BUT THIS DID IT :D THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! Can you make a version that you don't need ulx or ulib to use?  :D

You don't need ULX, you only need ULib. And no, I won't make a version that doesn't require it because that's the whole point of having ULib in the first place. Glad you like it though. :)

Hello,

I wanted to give my mini-admins the access ups_remove, so I added " ups_remove " into groups.txt, for miniadmin group. But it does nothing, when my mini-admin wants to delete his own props with UPS, for example, it is said that he doesn't have access to this cvar.

What can I do?

Also, sometimes, players are asking me on Steam : " Hey, Euphytose, clean up the server, it's very laggy there! ". But, the only thing I can do is to reboot the map, I don't know which command would work to delete everything on the map without having to reboot it, could you give me a standard command, or a UPS one? I tried ups_remove * and ups_remove all, but it doesn't work.

The access to delete all a player's props is actually "ups miscDeletionAccess" (watch the case!).

ups_remove <uid> is the format for that command, where uid is retrieved from the 'status' command on the server. Not terribly easy to use from a console, sorry. :P

Edit : It was ups miscdeletionaccess, without any caps. :) Like written in the groups.txt so, but now it works. :)

Sorry about the bump, but I've looked through it seems every file and I can't find a place to change the default values for cleaning up props and making props up for grabs. Do you know where it is?

Garry only saves the settings on a successful server shutdown. This is going to change down the road as soon as we have time to write our own saver.

Hi.
I installed UPS today on my server, basically just to try out a different Prop Protection script, and also due to the fact I got fed up with other admins being idiots and deleting world props.
Pain when they remove the track switching buttons on maps that have train tracks.....

All was going well with UPS, until I encountered a slight bug.
I was having a little war with a few zombies and all was going well until I ran into the problem of where the zombie is killed but the headcrab survives.

I could not kill or delete the headcrab as it said it was owned by Map.
I had to disable the protection (was not quite sure what option to use, I had only been using it for about 45 minutes, and had been to busy playing with my toys :) )

Sorry if this bug has already been mentioned, I did read the entire thread, but I might have missed it.

oops forgot to say I am using the version from the 1st post in this thread (UPS-v0_95.zip)
Also I just tested, and it does the same with the Fast Zombies and the Poison Zombies if they are killed and the headcrab is left behind.
I have no idea if the headcrabs that jump off the poison zombie are effected as for some reason that was not happening.

Does this happen all the time or only some of the time? Any errors in the server console during startup?

UPS Broken

I'm using UPS 0.95 with ULX 3.40 and ULib 2.30.

I love UPS, it works really well  ;D

About 2 days ago people started not being able to move their own props, tools started breaking, and then people could just move any prop.  :'(
I went back to Simple Prop Protection but I couldn't stand the buffer overflows/snapshot overflows so I put UPS back on, and now the problems have started happening again.
When it first started going wrong I hadn't uploaded/changed/removed any addons, gmod hadn't updated, nothing had changed. It just .. broke.

No errors in server/client consoles.

Any ideas?  :-\
