Texture question
« on: June 20, 2008, 07:35:15 PM »
How do I display variables on things like a texture in game. What I mean is if you have ever been to the sassilization lounge you see panels that show scores and stuff, and I'm 99% sure that lua displays it on there but I have no clue how.

it will be some kind of clientside derma thing. Kind of like how that guy made the 3d IRC panel, or how you can draw text above things, like we did in stranded. I don't know much about specifics though.. unfortunately because it is client-side stuff and we all know how well I handle that.

I also have never delved into GUI. However, you may wish to look into Wire for examples. By example is usually how I get ideas for stuff.

Yeah I'm pretty sure its the same thing that a wire text screen does, just I don't know what I'm looking for in the code, most of it is stuff for changing the size and color of the text and stuff.
