Slowing on Startup
« on: March 23, 2009, 08:37:08 PM »
Recently I've had a problem during server startup/restart. It happens when it loads the ublib \server\player.lua file. It takes about 30 seconds to load the file when it used to be almost instant.

It gives the error "not enough memory", and then continues on like normal.

Any ideas?

Its about 64mb uncompressed..

I can't open it with any program I have, I hope you have better luck.

Edit: Never mind, OpenOffice was able to deal with it. Thanks for the help.

Samusaaron3,
About 13 bans down, someone was banned that had a slash in the name.
This caused a bad error in the temp bans, and was a known error on an older version of ULX.
We believe we've fixed this in SVN releases.
Code: [Select]
"STEAM_0:0:14421055"
{
"admin" "Human Unahm(STEAM_0:0:17011559)"
"unban" "0"
"time" "1236643938"
"name" "/ερïс τøαṡτεɾ\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"
"reason" ""
}
I've edited out most of the slashes. You can remove all the \ slashes from that ban if you wish, or delete your bans.txt file (which removes all temporary bans.. perm bans will stay.

Do you know if you were running SVN (and if so, what revisions) at the following time?

That is when the person was banned.
