The first mod besides ULX to support autocomplete!

I do believe that this developer mod is the first to support autocomplete besides ULX. This very nice feature has been around since GM 10's initial release, Nov 2006... and yet it's been unused by everyone but us this whole time!

Feel free to correct me if there have been other mods that use this feature. :P

Every time I hear autocomplete in GMod, I have to remind myself "That doesn't mean completes with <TAB>"...

Hmm. Yes, when typing names in default chat box, hitting tab will complete them if first few characters are a match.
Which goes on to an Interesting idea;
I wonder if there's a chat text hook for that
!bl would become !blind after hitting tab, then type a few more characters of the player name and hit tab again.
We'd have autocomplete for the console AND the chat box.
Best of both worlds.

Oh, garry put that back in? It was out when GM10 first came out but then garry removed the hook to do that for some reason... Will look into it. :P

Tab Autocomplete of names? Yes. Never left as far as I knew.
A hook watching it? No idea. That's why I was wondering aloud.
