UPS - Not detected on server
« on: March 25, 2010, 09:17:30 PM »
Sorry to bother you again, but ever since I initially installed UPS, approximately half the time clients wouldn't be able to access the UPS Utility Menus and in their place would be text saying "UPS is not installed on this server." however it is clearly not the case. So either UPS isn't initializing half the time, or the clients are failing to detect it on the server when it is actually there.

Using SVN of it?
If not, try http://ulyssesmod.net/UPS/trunk
The ULib svn (which I think you run) has been heavily updated over time regarding client initialization of it's modules. (Seemingly every time garry updates/fixes one thing...we have to rewrite initialization routines)
It's likely the SVN would behave better.

If you're already using SVN of UPS, Megiddo may have more insight.
UPS is all his child. :)

Ah, yes it is SVN and none of the updates seemed to fix it. It occurs rather randomly actually and no errors seem to be produced when it occurs. Its rather strange.
