I think I had real maple syrup as a kid...I don't really remember it.
I like the imitation stuff from "Aunt Jemima" and other brands, so would probably like it.
I went to the
Museum of Appalachia's Fall Homecoming yesterday with my mother-in-law. She'd been wanting to see the place for years. A few of the cabins there (McClung) are from related family there a few generations back. Its always interesting to hear her and my wife talk about them.
(Back to the point of that mention) While at the festival, I got some fresh made Sorghum syrup. It's made similiar to Molasses, but not as tart, not made directly from sugarcane.
I'm looking foward to trying Sorghum on Waffles.
