MyBB Help.
« on: January 10, 2013, 04:38:24 PM »
So I just installed myBB as a forum and I really like it how ever...

On my forums the links look like this... http://cbunker.tk/thread-4.html
Where on my friends forums they look like this... http://lastpenguin.com/showthread.php?tid=352&pid=2199#pid2199

I think the lastpenguin URL is more secure because of how the URL is formatted, how ever I could be wrong, anyway can some one explain this and help me out?

I cry every time I see that I am not a respected member of this community.

neither is more secure.

In the top it just abbreviates the URLs at the web server so that it looks 'cleaner' to the end user. You might be able to disable this feature somewhere in the settings on your MyBB installation.

Also, seems you're using different versions of MyBB, and, different themes.
The links where you link to a 'later in the topic' post will also almost always be longer.
