cl_init.lua
« on: January 21, 2013, 04:13:17 PM »
I bought a server from a host, and the vanilla game is working great. However when I try to install ulx, I get the error messages in the attachment, which are all about this one file. I've tried reinstalling the file too. Thanks sooo much :)

When I delete cl_init.lua from autorun, I only get one error : Couldn't include file 'ulib\cl_init.lua' (File not found) (@addons/ulib/lua/autorun/ulib_init.lua (line 5))

Make sure you have our latest greatest copies of ULib and ULX (See News section for SVN links)
The download pages of our website aren't latest/greatest for GM13.

If you're sure you have latest, make sure you have ULib properly in addons.
Don't try to place it in gmod/lua yourself.
All kinds of things would break.

EDIT - also, make sure your server has the 'permissions' required to read those files, and done a full restart of the server (not just a map change)

Also, if your host doesn't allow you to svn directly, a good way to do it is just svn to your home computer then upload the folders via ftp. I had to do it that way, but just recently my host started allowing svn, very cool ^^
