ulx commands not working

Are you running a dedicated server?   YES
What version of ULX and ULib do you have?   ULX:2.21   ULib:1.2


STATUS

when i type in any ulx command it says "Unknown command "ulx""

oh i made a mistake in the first part    i didnt see that it said to type the lua tprint in the server console     
Lua Error: Line 1: attempt to index global 'ULib' (a nil value)
   thats what it tells me in the server console

Thanks for following the "lack of access" sticky!

However, not asked there, and probably should be added...
What version of Gmod?
The versions of Ulib/ULX you have are not written for versions of Garrys mod greater than 9.0.4 (so, the new Gmod won't work with the version you have.

Hard to tell for me though. My version of GM10 ded server looks like this from the status...
version : 1.0.0.0/7 2949 secure = what I have

Sooo, if you have GM10. Get the latest. ULX 2.9 from www.ulyssesmod.net
If not, dig deeper...
Any errors at server startup regarding ULib?

9.0.4  i thought i typed that  :P  oh well 

and when i start the server  it doesnt say anything about ulib

is there something im missing that im supposed to run or something im supposed to type in the console to start ulib?

Ok,
First
Does your ded server path look something like
steamapps/<username>/source dedicated server/gmod9/lua/init/ULib_init.lua <- key file #1
steamapps/<username>/source dedicated server/gmod9/lua/ULiib/modules/ULX_init.lua <- key file #2
steamapps/<username>/source dedicated server/gmod9/lua/ULib/blah.lua ...
steamapps/<username>/source dedicated server/gmod9/lua/ulx/blah.lua ...

Ulib is automatic, if placed correctly

 do you have aim/yahoo/msn   that would make this a lil faster  lol

No.
Odd. Latest ULX v2.21 for 9.04, when extracted to your gmod9 folder correctly, should place folders/files properly.
If you don't extract it rght, it messes up stuff.
Tell us, do you have a gmod9/lua/materials and a gmod9/lua/lua folders?
If you do, you extracted ULX into gmod9/lua/, not /gmod9
Try just extracting it into /gmod9 ... everything should work from there.

After speaking with JosyD on Friends, discovered he had a very old version.
Found the correct version, copied it where needed. Now working, at least with bare access. He/She was working on user.ini when we ended conversation.
