One users rank resetting
« on: March 11, 2013, 08:11:02 AM »
I have one user on my server (Well i have lots of users...) who's rank keeps getting reset every time he joins the server. His rank is an important rank as he paid for it. I deleted him from the users.txt, I changed his rank via users.txt to the rank, but that doesn't work... I don't want to clear the sv.db file, cus that would effect everyone.... How do i fix?

Which users.txt? Gmod's? /cfg/users.txt Or ULX? gmod/data/ulib/users.txt (i don't recommend editing that one manually)
I would guess, to fix it, you'd have to set him in ULX (Through XGUI or  console) and DarkRP (using I have no idea what) the same group that he is in your /cfg/users.txt.

I edit the data/ulx/users (or ulib, cant remember). I've tried everything, doing it via console doesnt solve it..

A few other people have had this exact same issue in the past. I think the solution was that the users.txt file was corrupted (probably from editing it manually).

One suggestion I could give is to make a backup of your file and then delete it letting ULX/ULib generate a new one. Then re-add all of your users through the console. Try and never edit the text file manually. Even if you know what you're doing, the smallest error in anything could corrupt it.
