So I just made a server and I want some custom sounds on it. I did the whole fastdl setup and put the custom sounds in the garrysmod/sounds/ folder AND i tried the garrysmod/sounds/garrysmod/ folder but when i join my server it doesn't download my sounds. I try to play the sound with the ulx admin mod playsound command and it says it plays the sound, but i cant hear anything.
It turns out that when i joined my server it said one of my files that is about 3 seconds long and 1144 kb is downloading, but the other one that is about 20 seconds long a 3.60 mb didnt download, it just went to sending client info. When I press playsound and type in the sound name of the 3 second one, I can hear it and it works fine, but when i type in the 20 second one it says it plays but I cant hear anything. Why does one file download, but not the oth
