Ban overwriting
« on: May 12, 2013, 12:29:14 PM »
I removed "unban" command from a group but let them still ban people.

When I ban someone or someone else lets say permanent, all groups with acces to "ban" can overwrite the ban by simply banning the SteamID again for lets say 1 minute, which is basically going to unban the said person.

Is there a way to prevent that?

A written ban may not be overwritten yet able to edit?

Or just not editable at all?

Remove ban access from the group that did it, or remove rights from the offending admin.
If you have people changing bans purposely to 'unban' someone you've banned...you have a security issue with subordinates.

I am sorry but that is not really helping my case?

I know as much as I knew before.

I want people to be able to ban, but I do not want people to be able to ban people who are already banned.

If you know what the problem is please explain me in a bit more details.

I cant sit infront of my logs and check every line if someone banned someone else for a low amount of time.

ULX is not designed to function in the way you are requesting.

Sabo, if you have given people ban access that are abusing the ban command in this way, you have more than ULX not being designed to do what you want it to do to worry about.
