HELP!
« on: November 14, 2013, 03:14:03 PM »
Tried to edit some of the files and like renaming superadmin to owner, that made the users possible to grab me so I wanted to change back but they could still touch me.
I want to do a clean install of the ULX and ULIB, I removed both and downloaded new ones but the admins are still saved. Solution anyone?

Managed to fix the previous problem but got a new one -.-'
When I deleted the files to reset ULIB and ULX I must have deleted some other file aswell because now my TAB menu looks like this.

Hi. Welcome to Ulysses forums.
Please don't double post again.
Please keep topic subjects a bit more descriptive. (We know people posting here likely need help, or they wouldn't be in the 'help' section of the forum)

The FAQs section of the forum include several answers to ULib/ULX questions such as Factory resetting, uninstalling, troubleshooting access issues.
Any one of those would have helped you with your first question.

As for getting the tab menu back, sorry, we as ULX developers have little idea.
You'd probably need to reinstall the gamemode if it's part of a gamemode, Gmod itself if it's Sandbox, or the custom scoreboard if it's one you obtained separately.

As for trying to make an owner group, education is your best bet.
One of our community members wrote a nice post on the subject here. http://forums.ulyssesmod.net/index.php/topic,6291.0.html
You've just learned the hard way not to ever remove superadmin group from Gmod, and don't ever remove admin either.
Gmod considers superadmin as the highest rank possible. This has nothing to do with any mod... Gmod is just written that way. Superadmin to gmod = owner, root, master, Gmod power almighty.

We as ULib developers find the subject extremely frustrating, as our forums are wrought with people like yourself who don't know better and did/do similiar.
We're not saying we didn't write in functions that would allow for 'higher' groups, but we believe those mods that do just ask for trouble for compatibility with standard Gmod group access control.

As for your future, don't go mucking about in Gmod files any further without knowing the repercussions first.
It seems you did damage by not knowing enough to what you were removing.
