superadmin but not server operator?

First I would like to apologize if this isn't where I should post this.

So I am the owner of my server and I am in the superadmin group but when I try to do certain command (ex. change gravity) it says I'm not the server operator.

I have done some searching around but nothing really seems to point me in the direction to solve this. If anyone knows what I'm talking about and knows how I can resolve this, I would greatly appreciate it!

How are you attempting to change gravity? Console command?
If you do a "ulx who" in console, does it truly show you as "superadmin".
If not superadmin, what group?

The 975 is just your ID, nothing to worry about (I think ;_;)

Many server settings have to be executed from server console, not game console.
ulx rcon "sv_cheats 1".
However, I do not recommend running sv_cheats as 1.
I forget them now, but many things in gmod can be hacked on the server with sv_cheats enabled.

that was just to show that im getting a message saying im not the operator, im trying to get that problem solved

I think you misunderstand, frustratedgamers. You can enable sv_cheats with ulx rcon. That means you're a server operator. You won't be able to change it without rcon, that is as designed (and something we have no control over).

There are two ways of using RCON commands like "sv_cheats".

1. Use "ulx rcon" before "sv_cheats" (Example: "ulx rcon sv_cheats 1"). This command is by default only for group "superadmin" in ULX.
2. Use something like HLSW with RCON password to connect to the server and use "sv_cheats 1" in console there.

Even if you're "superadmin", it doesn't mean you're the "operator" (the server isn't hosted through your Garry's Mod game, it shouldn't be either). Since that's the case, only the server can change "sv_cheats" (and more commands), unless done through RCON using an RCON password (as you said) or by using "ulx rcon" in ULX (as stated by others).
You are not supposed to be able to use just "sv_cheats" in the game console, even as a superadmin.

gotcha gotcha, well i have an actual physical server im working from, so would i run those commands via the server console?

its mainly for Murder gamemode which requires you to be the server operator

Yes. Either the server console, through RCON using something like HLSW or in-game using the "ulx rcon" command.
