Take out CMD part?
« on: January 23, 2014, 08:57:56 AM »
Is there anyway just to take out the big clutter in my CMD prompt when I start my server? Maybe just when it's done loading it just say "Ulysses Library loaded successfully!",  "XGUI Models added!", and "Module load complete!" instead of listing all of the stuff?

All that stuff is very useful for debugging and making sure you have all the right addons and modules installed.

Yeah, but if a error occurs, couldn't it just pop up the error? Instead of listing everything?

What if you installed something improperly and it didn't error, then how would you know what the problem was?

Wouldn't it just give you a error, just like lua does when you've done something wrong?

Since we can't control whether or not a 3rd part ULib or ULX addon echoes anything when loaded, our module load echo allows those who add additional modules, not written by us, to appear and show as loaded.

I've also seen where in many years past, some 'shady' add-on writers would throw additional ulx modules into their addons (that had NOTHING to do with ULX)
The echo of the loading is what allowed me to catch it on a ULX user's machine.
