I'm going to look more into it, but this addons crashes my server. So I'm forced to remove it. I'm sure it has to do with the gmod update. And when I remove the addon, it glitches the server. Can't even open console logs, so this may take some time to debug

I use this addon on my own server and i can assure you that it doesn't crash the server.
It sounds like you have some me serious problems if what you're describing is true.

Any idea why when a staff member gets kicked for too many warnings they lose their rank when they come back on?

This addon would not cause something like that to happen. I have no idea why that would be happening. What if you kick them with ulx kick or kick through the console? Do they lose rank then?
All this addon does is use the lua kick function to kick the player when they get too many warnings. It doesn't handle groups or ranks at all.

Aye, hello miner ^^
Also, that would be my server i just updated ULIB and it updated something called player.lua?
But i have removed this plugin for now as it is too dangerous to keep even if it is very useful, i cant have my players being demoted everytime they get kicked by this.
Could you investigate this issue more if you have time, just incase it is this plugin, (there was a very recent GMod update quite a major one so i dont know if this broke it)
