That should work. Although, I recommend following this tutorial for creating an addon for it: http://wiki.garrysmod.com/page/Addons/create
The folder structure you would use for a ULX addon would be something like: <Addon folder with addon.txt>/lua/ulx/modules/sh/filename.lua.
