Adding a plugin to the ULX Forum for download control.

I was wondering if we could have a plugin added to allow users who post on the ulx forums to lock their downloads down?

For example a person would need to have a certain number of posts to download (chosen by the poster of the download), or need to be in a certain group to download (again chosen by the poster of the download).

SMF already includes a "group" level access, and I believe a minimum post level feature, or, at worst, requiring minimum posts to become a certain group (that then has access to downloads)
Problem I have with that though is the fact so many would make dumb posts just to get access.

Why are you wanting folks to do more than just register here?

Imagine if someone wants to make something exclusive to actual ULX members? I know people would have to register but then you guys would have tons of idle accounts that only registered for 1 download. I feel that adding the option would make people want to participate more.

Jam's right on this one. If you place a post limit on downloads, we'll just see more people posting senseless things to have access..
Also, who says you need to post here to be an 'actual' ULX member?

By actual ULX member, I meant people who go on this forum and help out regularly, and I would imagine that you would have to post at least something to be a contributor?

Because we are all part of the ULX team deep inside.
