Can ULX handle this?
RedNick27:
Hello, I have a question about default teams and health, but while I'm at it I have some more questions than that:
- How do you make certain people spawn on another team by default?
- How do you change the amount of health players spawn with? (according to their teams, is it possible to change armor too?)
- Can you change the weapons guests start with?
- Can you make the !team command not sslay a player?
I meant to ask how to make players spawn on other teams and have done some searching, but couldn't find anything of use, I haven't looked into the rest of the stuff. I'm using ULX 2.21 and ULib 1.2 for Gmod9. Sorry if the title is confusing, I didn't know quite what to call it.
Golden-Death:
I guess this is a pretty popular request, I don't really know if there's anything out at the moment that can do all of this, but I'd be willing to code one if there isn't.
BrandonR:
A lot of that is possible with the UTeam addon.
Megiddo:
We don't support GM9 anymore sorry.

ULX (any version) doesn't have this functionality.

ULX (any version) doesn't have this functionality. *Though, GM10/ULib/SpBogie module release of UTeams allows for both.

ULX for GM9 doesn't have this functionality. However, you may find this script of some use to make it easier to give some teams certain weapons, or to execute a lua script that takes some away, and gives others, to certain teams.

For a player to 'join' a team once on a server, they have to respawn. If you know, or have buddies that still remember GM9 scripting, perhaps there might be a way to force a respawn without a kill negative point. Though usually I don't recommend editing ULX code, this case would be the exception. Though, I don't remember if there is a way to force a player to respawn without a death.

I found that script/swep manager using search term 'team'. Had to dig quite a bit down of course. Keep searching, I'm pretty sure the conversation has come up. I just don't remember where. Also; I strongly recommend getting GM10. It's less buggy (most of the time). Is updated more often, and of course, is supported better now. It's lua implimentation is, IMO, far superior than GM9s in capability.
Thanks for thinking before asking blind questions. Though we no longer directly update/support GM9/ULX 2/ULib 2, many of us (at least, speaking for myself) who remember what we can of ULX v2/ULib 1 will help what little we can.
Please also feel free to use the search feature. Many discussions of the past, though buried, will help you.
