MOTD Shows up blank on sandbox server

Hello,

I run a sandbox server hosted by NFO and I use FileZilla to file manage. I recently updated my SVN's to the new ULX and ULib trunks and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to make the MOTD work. I put it in addons/ulx & data/ ..

It used to go in the first path but now there are odd looking files that i've never seen before.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!

Due to our migration to Workshop, we were forced to remove the MOTD file in the development version. We're working on approaching the MOTD differently, but for now it's disabled. You can download the old MOTD yourself and stick it at your garrysmod root though, and you should be good to go.

Where do I put the one you linked to? I have the exact same one and I put it in addons/ulx and it doesn't work.

Edit: Put my motd in garrysmod/  &  garrysmod/garrysmod and they both don't work.

If 'ulx showMotd' is set to 1, it loads the file in the location specified by 'motdfile', both of which can be configured in XGUI. 'motdfile' defaults to 'ulx_motd.txt', which it looks for in the garry's mod root.

Okay I got it to work on legacy(svn) then my prop-protection stopped working so I switched over to workshop and now prop-protection is working and the MOTD isn't.

I set "ulx showMotd" to 1 ("ulx showMotd" "1" is how it is in my server.cfg) and renamed the motd to 'ulx_motd.txt' in my garrysmod/garrysmod folder. Is there anything else I need to do at this point? Do I have to restart the server?

No, you don't need to restart the server. Did you put the motd in the root garrysmod directory?
