Problem with URestrict
« on: August 13, 2016, 03:24:53 AM »
Hello!

I recently installed URestrict on my server (addons folder) and when I type "URestrict" in the console, it tells me "Unknown command: URestrict". If anybody knows how to solve this, that would be great.

I am always happy to send additional information if required.

URestrict was last updated sometime in 2009 it appears. It's highly unlikely it will still work, as the Garry's Mod 13 update broke a lot of old addons.

URestrict is no longer supported or developed.

It is in the release archives for a reason.

There are newer releases (See URS) that are likely more up to date, however, even conversation and assistance in those seem to have been waning as of late.

If you are a developer and have specific questions with code you're trying to use to update or make an old addon better, then please ask.
Otherwise, a simple "how do I fix this" will likely not be answered due to age.

Thank you for the assistance and I apologize for being such a nuisance.

Thank you for the assistance and I apologize for being such a nuisance.

Why do people think that asking a question is being a nuisance. It's our choice to answer after all.
Also for a more updated restriction system you should check out Falcos Prop Protection, or DBot Prop Protection
