What can you do?
What is your expertise level?
Generally how much do you charge?

These are all things you should put up front if you really want to try and make a little cash with your skills.

Perhaps a portfolio as well. Like examples of your previous works.

I made an admin mod for 20 bucks, features include fully integrated scoreboard and teams system, a unique type of menu and ban list, a gag feature that can't be avoided ( ulx.gagUser = nil , anyone? ).

I've also made things like a server shop system ( for $10 ), and a load of other things too.

I'll make whatever you want, for a good price  ::) .

I'd be curious to know how you implemented a system that can't be avoided. :)

Seems to me that responsible disclosure would dictate it went into our bug tracker or private message boxes or email or any number of ways to relay that to us.

Unfortunately that hook is useless to us since it doesn't work when sv_alltalk is enabled, and we don't want to make people use another variable instead of sv_alltalk.

Though, I just had an idea JamminR... we could print a message every time they enable alltalk telling them to use another variable and reset sv_alltalk to 0. Problems I see with that is if they change sv_alltalk from an external tool they won't see the message. In the end, I think people would still complain about us changing the behavior more than people would be happy that nothing can get around ulx gag. If users are avoiding such commands, shouldn't they be banned anyways?

<clip>

Yes, it is useless when sv_alltalk in enabled. We tried it recently in fact after seeing a discussion on facepunch about voice gagging players.
SetMute was also discussed, but I didn't want to have to write in extra code for when players joined the server to test what other players were gagged.

still complain <clip> such commands, shouldn't they be banned anyways?
Re:ULX gag - no way to make everyone happy.
Better idea I'd think - in a ulx ini, which it seems hardly anyone reads anyway... set ulx gag variable off by default..which would then prevent ulx gag from showing in menu's/loading/showing in help, etc... in the ini we explain the different ulx gag levels. I'm thinking 3 (0,1,2)
If ya want more discussion, take it back to our chat area. :)
Re: Ban - Yes, just like if they were to use the gag exploit on a server I was running. If they had any chance of having lesser punishment (such as gag instead of kick/ban), then exploit removes that chance.

Oh, and vader, big suggestion, if you're going to offer lua services, correct your subject line spelling. :D
