I got permission from Suicidal Banana (http://forums.facepunchstudios.com/Suicidal_B) to re-release his scoreboard in a working format.
The only differences besides the changes required to get it working in an addon format is that it sorts according to team now. This works great with UTeam, the order you list the users in the UTeam config is the order they will appear on the scoreboard.

Hate to be the messenger of bad news, but a new update is coming tomorrow, hopefully that won't break this.

I know you just made some small changes to this, but is there any way to restore the "kick, ban, permaban" buttons that are in the default scoreboard? Being able to press tab and instantly ban someone is invaluable at times ;D
Also, why does a person's highest rating no longer become their new icon on this scoreboard?

I must admit, I wouldn't mind that scoreboard either, it looks superb, congrats!
I also agree, desperately needs kick / ban back on it !!

Ok, I saw that someone made a post in the sui_scoreboard thread about the absence of the "kick, ban, permaban" buttons under peoples name in the scoreboard. I too am desperately wanting these back :D So I took a look in the sui_scoreboard folder, and found admin_buttons.lua, which has functions for these buttons inside it, but they arent working for one reason or another.
My question is, could someone more knowledgeable take a look at what may be causing these to not show up for admins? The clientmenu is an alright way to kick/ban, but being able to do it just by pressing tab real fast is really useful sometimes ;)

Something that will help certainly, look for differences between original files and sui's files. This could also be a conflict with original files, as this sui scoreboard is in addon format.
Anyway, I highly encourage anyone to modify their server's scoreboard, to do something unique ;)

Ya when some one rates you it dont show up nex to your name. i was wondering if this is how it is or if it is a bug

it dont say im a superadmin nor dose it say anyone is a superadmin/normal player it just says unassigned for everyone how would i fix this
and im kindo new to this as well would there be a way to edit the votes ppl have made on someone in game like for EXPL admin goes afk some asshole makes like 4 gay votes on them and logs off when admin comes back lol... and than admin quits playing on server unless i can fix it some like that u know ... ><

2) Ratings are stored in the sqlite database for the server by player uniqueid. You will need to know how to use sql queries to modify an individual user's entry. You can also delete the sv.db file from your garrysmod root directory, and this will clear all ratings, but it may also affect some settings if you have anything else that is using sqlite.
Edit: Or, if you're feeling adventurous, you can use a program like sqlite database browser (http://sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net/) to try and edit individual entries.

ok i found out how to us this but the thing that mixed me up the most from learning how to do this is that the 2 id's are different like why would someones steam id be like STEAM_0:0:2177795 but in the sv.db its 121792708 if anyone knows and would like to fill me in i would really like to know war and how it gets this id from that user to better sort this out
and if this helps anyone this is only way i know how to find out a persons id so u can modify this file better for what ever reason
first get everything ready with sqlite database
get someone to rate you with a gold star
load up the sv.db go into browse data -> table sui_ratings: you should scroll down all the way u should see last 1 say 5 under the rating tab
5= gold star,
id= ranks total,
target= person that got rated,
rater= person that rated the target

The id stored in sv.db is the player's UniqueID which should be the same whether playing online or lan. You can get it with a simple call to Player:UniqueID(). From server console (or RCON) you can do "ulx who" to get their entity id, then "lua_run print( Entity( <entid> ):UniqueID() )".
It may also help you to look at the code for the ratings.

this is a super super nice addon i think almost every server should have
im not saying this just becues of all the nice options to rate ppl and so on but mainly the custom colors and tells ppl what team/ranking u are
but the option to ban/kick ppl from that same menu is lost :'( sure u can type !menu or clientmenu and ban/kick ppl that way but if they see that they might know whats about to happen and log before u can do the dead and make it alittle more work to ban them <_< we all know how lazy i am ;)
anyways what i manly want to ask and bug for becues omfg i <3 this work is maby if a v3 will be coming out anytime soon if not when ^_^ with rating bug fixed! (that ppl icons dont change when they got a new higher rating), the admin buttons, and i dont know of anymore bugs ... >< ^_^ nice only 2
and u dont think that all the new rateings are maby putting the ban/kick buttons to low to see them maby??? just a guess i have not really looked at the coding that much only enough to know there is a lua file that is called admin buttions so im guessing it use to work or somthing or trying to get it to work... i dont know anyways maby ill look at it for the of it alittle later see if i can understand some of it... if i end up fixing something ill do a post of what all i changed

if you insist on using a menu to kick/ban someone, try this
in your console type "bind p ulx menu" where p can be pretty much any button you want to use.
THis will open up your menu with the push of a button and no one will ever know about it. Although, personally I prefer good old fashioned ulx ban <name> from the console.. it's quicker =)

true true but when u get them ppl comeing into the server with names like lIlIlI when L and I look the same in game when no cap and cap and other stuff like ¿¢£¥Øø? and much much more the nice fast option to hold tab sele thar name and kick, 1 hr ban, and ban omfg is fast and easy!!! most of all if they pop into the server just to try and crash it

Not sure if this has been asked yet, but is there anyway to change the spacing between the first set of input (email,xfire,msn, etc..)? Everyone i see that uses an email seems to have the ending cut off by the next set of inputs (buttons,ballons, etc..).
Is there a way to edit the scoreboard to move the second set to the right a couple spaces to avoid getting text overlay?

Would you guys mind if I went and remade a new scoreboard, based on the BASE gamemode's scoreboard, but used some of this one's code? I don't want to do it then be accused of stealing.

It wasn't originally made by us, we had permission from the original author but I think he's long gone now.

In the Scoreboard everyone is Grey and in the "Teams" part, everyone is "Unassigned". I have UTeam installed on my server and im in the superadmin group. Does anyone know why it doesnt work ?

Hey i was wondering if anyone could fix a problem im having with the scoreboard, when i go into different game modes, pressing tab will bring up both this menu and the game modes menu, which causes alot of problems because you cant see either scoreboard and this one is left on your screen even after releasing tab. Thanks in advance for any insight that you guys can give me :) Amazing scoreboard btw :)

Smegy, just to make sure it's clear, Team Ulysses members didn't write this, and I've not seen the author around these or FP parts in several months (WE MISS YOU SUICIDAL.BANANA!)
We just fixed a portion of it after a Gmod update broke the original, and also put it in addon format.
Which comes to the next answer. Other than removing it from your addons folder when you aren't using normal sandbox mode, there isn't a way to prevent it from loading at this time.

Hey, I'm having a bit of a problem.....Or maybe the Scoreboard is just set up this way. When I hold down tab I see the changes and everything, [It's Awsome!] but, when I highlight over something like the [G] Symbol...It does not tell me what it means....I only know what it means when I rank some one.. In the Normal Scoreboard if you higlited over the picture of the "Hammer" and you were going to rank them that it would say "This player is good at building" How come I don't see this in the scoreboard v2...Is it just me? or something I'm doing?

I would like to modify the scoreboard a bit to link with Utime and show the players total time in hours rounded down. I have been able to add the group for Hours but I have unsuccessfully been able to link the time by hours only. Any ideas?

Look at how UTime displays the time, it breaks it down into hours in there.

I was able to eventually figure out how to link the time into the scoreboard. It was easier to just use the database stored time of seconds and convert it to hours by /60/60, crappy maybe, but easy.
self.lblHours:SetText( math.floor((self.Player:GetUTime() + CurTime() - self.Player:GetUTimeStart())/60/60))
Now to figure out auto promotion of groups based on time ~_~

Please tell me that this is a joke.. Sui_scoreboard in conjonction with UTeam was an awesome addition to my server. Someone need to fix this as soon as possible, we can't just get rid of something as valuable as this, we could but let's not make it happen.

Everyone, I just updated Ulyssses Headquarters Gmod server.
Sui and Uteam are both still working.
Your milage may vary.... but it still works.
I don't know to what extent it is or isn't working, but hitting TAB still shows our player teams.
Chatting still shows our team chat colors.

The issue I had was that it wouldn't display the numbers of props the player had.
But looks like its fixed now. Not sure how, but it works. So im not going to do anything with it :|

Wow you guys must be tired of seeing my errors threads.. still my sui_scoreboard for some reasons which are still unclear to me isn't functionning properly anymore after the recent Garry's mod update. Some people name appear as "Unconnected" instead of their nickname and not only on the board. And most of the time theres no name at all on the board. Sometime but not everytime clicking on the tab to enlarge it makes the name appears but most of the time it doesn't work.

This seems to be a problem with yours. No idea what it is.
It's not broken on any other server I've seen it on, including but not limited to UHQ and, G4P (5+ Servers)

When I was still with TrickysTutorials one of the coders there actually did that, as well as integrating UTime. I'll see if I can find it (and get his permission).

Hey I have looked through this section and couldn't find out how to change the configurations in the scoreboard. Like change the color of the groups, and the names of the groups!
could you help me! Also im not to sure if it actually works, is there something i must need besides ulx for this to work?

If you want to adjust the names of the groups("Teams") and their colors, you must have UTeams which can be found in the releases section. All configs for UTeams are explained in the readme.

This isn't a bug. If you look at the aptly named thread title... sui_scoreboard - Sandbox Replacement Scoreboard REMIXED
It wasn't meant for other game modes.

Good question - I really like the scoreboard but wanted to add another gamemode to my server, but this compeltely prevents it unless there's an easy way to disable it for other gamemodes.

(Re)Move it from your /addons folder before restarting the server into the gamemode.
Or instead, I also believe renaming the info.txt file to something_else_but_info.txt and then restarting into the game mode would work.
Not sure on that second part. I think I just noticed forgetting to put an info.txt file in one of my experiments once and it didn't load.

Correct, if there's not an info.txt present in the addon it will not load.

Does anyone ever use the wonderful addon anymore? I'm kinda wondering why no fix for the vote buttons have been found and posted yet... this use to be a very loved addon :'( maybe it just needs a push again ^_^!

I've been considering bringing this script into the Ulysses fold, as the original author seems to have disappeared completely. It all depends on if I ever get some free time to work on it though. :P

I have the avatars showing, but the infobar isn't tall enough for it >.<

will I know how to at lest make the ban/kick buttons work but I get errors when I tested it but it still seems to work anyways ::)
the little bit of time I looked at the scoreboard I could not find a way to make the rating icon change by the name, an i have a load of things I'm working on right now like my IPB forums and invision are being gay, not letting me redownload a addon that use to be free so i can uninstall it off my site and my host is mission and my control panel is being gay and i cant log into mysql database to try and remove and edit some files to fix my site.
I wonder how easy it would be to change/add on to the default scoreboard to just support the team colors and or add a team name tab, maybe even add it into uteam addon its self ... and have it override some of the default files or something.
I never cared about the all the new vote buttons only the look and color support for uteam and team name tab. That is also all that the default is missing, but they have added some other nice stuff like steam avatar, kinda nice but not really needed. but if you use mostly default files I would think it would maybe work on more gamemodes as well.

good luck with that, I did not even start looking into adding the steam avatar into the sui scoreboard I was just going to try and setup the vote ratings and buttons for kick ban and than highest vote icon next to name than avatar.

Yeah, leaving the infocard open could have been a little confusing. I did that to show that I moved the panel down to compensate for the size of the avatar.

Hey, nice work bmCha! Do you think you could give me a copy of the code that you have for your scoreboard. I dont want to steal it or anything, I just want to add it to my server. People are always asking me to integrate it with utime and I could never quite get the syntax right.

BMCha, as a registered member, you can make a new post here in our releases forum.. From there you can store it where you wish.
You can attach files here (only registered users will be able to see the file link), or anywhere else that holds files (garrysmod.org(*cringe*) or other upload spot of your choice.)
No idea about a name recommendation. Hmm. Sui_scoreboard remixed + UTime + Icons ... Chopped Sui Time!!

Is there a way to rate people via console? if so can you post the command, I want people to be forced give me a gold star rating every time they they spawn one of the expression 2 chips that I've made :D

I got the same error when i tried the modified_sui_scoreboard to.
I have ULX/Ulib and Uteam installed and they all work fine.

Just another question ::) . I just upload the dua folder to my fastdl server? Or should there be sui_scoreboard files in the cache folder? Because if they should then i dont see them .

EDIT: I got the scoreboard working by uploading the cache to the fastdl server like you told me. It looks great keep up the good work ;)

I'm having a problem with it on my server.
Whenever you press tab for the scoreboard, it pops up but doesn't show any text and if you release tab it stays on your screen.
Here's console error.

Where does this save the rating file? Also is it possible for me to remove the ability of people rating other people "gay". (or just remove ratings all together.)

I believe it's in your sv.db and I do believe ratings could be disabled all together with some editing.
