Title: XGUI problems
Post by: Tom on May 17, 2018, 09:09:17 AM
So before posting this I did reinstall my server and Gmod a few times and tried to use the XGUI with only ULX and ULIB installed on the server, however the menu do open but when I try to use any commands at all it just closes the menu, even when typing the commands in the client console wont work, but in the server console the commands works.

I'm using the latest version of ULX and ULIB. (ULX v3.73 ULib v2.63)
I've been using the github version.
No error at all when trying to use the commands.

You can take a look at this video that is showing what I mean.

Did you try "factory resetting" your ULX on the clean installation?

Go into your garrysmod/data folder and remove the ULX and ULib folders and let them rebuild..

This looks like a corrupted data file issue. Make sure you don't try and edit your data files manually.

Well.. I just tried the latest version and it works for me doing exactly what you show in your video.

I did notice, however, that you are technically NOT on the latest version. You're a couple of minor revisions behind it seems.

Try updating from github.

So I completely reinstalled Gmod (deleting the whole folder) and unsubbed from all workshop items and it looks like it works now.

Thanks for the help :)

No problem! It's funny what little things can get buried in there and will affect other things. Glad you got it working!
