Team Ulysses would like to welcome our newest crew member; Stickly Man!
Stickly Man!'s been part of the Ulysses community for over 3 years now and has worked with us on personal projects for even longer. (He actually lived a few short blocks from Megiddo's old homestead!)
Not only has he worked with us on many shared projects, as of this news release, he's recently started working on what is probably one of the most requested (or complained about!) items in ULX over the past two to three years...an improved GUI menu.
We look forward to his continued ideas and Ulysses project contributions, and expect his continued support of our weary team members by loan of his couch, pink fuzzy blankets and Chinese carry-out food.
Welcome to the team Stickly Man!

A warm welcome, indeed! I don't know what I'd do without that couch. :)
-
Thanks for the welcome ;D
As of now, there is an empty plate of Zyklus's food on the couch, So I'm afraid my couch is currently unavailable until Zyk decides to do some cleaning around here, (I'm not doing it for him!)
Ooh, but we did get a hand-made blue fuzzy quilt in addition to the pink fuzzy blanket! Twice the comfort as we had before! And we've expanded our food menu to include all sorts of pizza and breadsticks, rather than just chinese food! Wendy's is also an option :P

I was wondering when you would be apart of the team! Congrats ;D
-
Congratulations!

Nicely done, Stickly. Congratulations.
Now about that GUI menu and non-svn versions of ULX.... haha
-
Haha, hate to break it to you though, some of the new SVN changes are slightly due to helping with the GUI... ;D

Believe me, I'm not. I'm going to be re upgrading back to the SVN versions of ULX and ULib when i start working on my server again, so it should work. I was running on the stable release to make sure the addons worked.
-
Actually, you may wish to hold off. I understand wanting XGUI, but ULib (and therefore ULX's) command system have been totally rewritten (to name but one of several big changes)
If you do go SVN, make sure you test as much as you can before putting it into production environment.
I know several commands (and some other of ULib releases) that aren't working now.
-
It's kind of black and white-- because of the new change a lot of the older addons don't work on the SVN, but the ones that are updated don't work with the release.. Weighing pros and cons :(

Congrats, I like how this community continues to thrive as opposed to some others as time goes on. I look forward to getting back into coding when I get back to the US. Glad to know that Team U has good people working hard to ensure my favorite Admin mod will still be here when I do. ;)
