Title: setting up ulx

so, finally rented a dedicated to replace my local dedicated i had running.

me being the newb i am, i had someone else completely install the local dedicated for me.

now that person is unavalible and i cant figgure out ulx

so, i uploaded the ulx files to the server (in the addons folder) then i restarted the server.

i read the readme, put my name/steam id in the settings/users.cfg (or whatever the extention was) and restarted

it has made my name green, but i was looking to use ulx for adminning, not garrys mod admin stuff, what console command do i type to give myself admin while im ingame or what do i do

i have irc, and was on earlier but the people online turned out to either be preoccupied or just plain old ignoring me.

That means you did not install it correctly. Did you remember ULib? Errors on startup?

ulib comes with ulx correct?

and i cannot see the console (i guess i could use hlsw)

If you put yourself in the users file in the settings/ folder and you show up green on the scoreboard, then it is a 99% chance you installed ulx/ulib wrong.  Ulx/ulib automatically adds you to the superadmin list if your name is in the users.cfg.

ULib does not come with ULX, it's a separate download (unless you use the installer).
