Title: STEAM_ID_PENDING admin problem
Post by: PopiT on April 23, 2006, 03:52:41 AM: I cant be admin on my server, i put in my steamID right and everything (
"STEAM_0:0:9412810" "bcdefghijklmnopqrstuz" ),
but everyone on my server gets steam_id_pending, how do i solve that?

Post by: PopiT on April 23, 2006, 06:42:19 AM: That didnt help me very much.. Its a dedicated server and i have the newest verison of ULX.. When i put in the gUsers command and says my steamid and access flags, and when i put status all users on server and everyone had STEAM_ID_PENDING.

Post by: dude on July 03, 2006, 02:44:45 PM: I have the same problem. I have a dedicated server. I put everything just like his but I get steam_id_pending. I'm not useing any exploit. I have 2 accounts, 2 computers, both with HL2 and both working gmods and ULX on the dedicated server one. I read ALL the stickies and the whole forums for help but nothing helps. Someone please help us!

Now, I know you may have done this already on your machine or people wouldn't be able to connect at all, but, I'd open/forward the entire range, not just any a software firewall might have asked about.

It sounds like your server isn't talking to Steam to get the ids.
Quick list from the article...

UDP 1200 (used for friends service)
UDP 27000 to 27015 inclusive
TCP 27020 to 27039 inclusive

Hope that helps. Again, make sure all are open, both inbound and outbound.
If you have a router + windows firewall + a thirdparty firewall , that would be a challenge.
