Hi
im having problems banning trails on server start up i added the lines to server.ini and the sandbox. ini but still people are using trails

Are you sure that's the swep name? It uses the name from the folder under 'stools'

the name of the file is trails.lua so ulx tooldeny trails should work..
Did you try running that command in game to see if maybe it just isnt loading with startup?
Also.. if you dont want anyone using them.. ever.. then just go into garrysmod/gamemodes/sandbox/entities/weapons/gmod_tool/stools/ and just delete the trails.lua file and then no one should be able to use it.

Listen server?
Current RELEASE (not SVN), .ini aren't being loaded from Listen server

look at Jam's post.. try updating your ULX to the SVN version.. I have 6 or 7 tools denied in my server.ini file and it works fine for me.. I am running the latest revision of the SVN though..

Will... Personally, I like trails. They are nice when used appropriately :)
I understand the overuse of 1500 trail items in a 'rocket' display though. Fireworks, etc.
Shame a few ruined for everyone.
Zakap,
I'm not sure we have it working in SVN yet either, but it's more likely to get corrected in SVN quicker than the next release.
For now it only seems to affect Listen servers.
He never did say which he was running

I see... I am running dedicated.. so I wouldn't know.
However wouldn't it be a work around, to maybe include the lines he wants to run in the server.cfg file rather than the server.ini file? Since garrys mod pulls that file when it starts the server, it should work, right?
