Title: Any other bugs in the new GMod update with ULX?
Post by: Megiddo on January 17, 2008, 03:41:01 PM
Except for ulx maul and some ugly lines in the menus, ULX should now be fully functional in the new GMod. Let us know if you have any new bugs!

Are you referring to a new version of ULX?  I downloaded mine recently before the update and simply doesn't work now as you can imagine.  I've never used SVN, and can't find where to get yours from the site...  Well at least Uteam is still working on the server...

Not a new release, but our beta work in SVN.

You can't? You didn't look hard. It's a Sticky. At the top of the SVN forum. (http://forums.ulyssesmod.net/index.php/topic,3092.0.html) It's also on www.ulyssesmod.net a few news articles down from the top.
SVN, both our release, and the actual use/application itself, isn't for the faint of heart. If you don't have a technical aptitude, you might want to wait for our next release.

Technical Aptitude eh?  I should probably wait for the next release.  On the other hand I have no idea when that will be and I need an admin mod.  Don't worry, if I doom my server to death, I won't whine to you guys...

!ragdoll - Forgot to look in console to see if an error occurs.
When using the command on self, you no longer have movement above your body. You're stuck at eye level.
I tried this on a multiplayer server, same issue.

@@@ (csay?) didn't work.

EDIT - From Today's GMOD update - mp_forcecamera now defaults to 0 (in line with previous versions)
Might fix ragdoll. We'll see shortly (when I get a chance to test it)

ulx teleport when used on another player will cause them to appear inside of you instead of where you are looking. Bug?

I was going to report that as well.  After that my ulx menu broke.

Ragdoll works fine, csay worked fine for me too.

Fixed.

Any other bugs? Let us know NOW!

ulx usermangementhelp returns no info if it's already been run once. This was while in singleplayer after a game restart. I've not tested further.
I discovered this while trying to grab some info from it for another forum.

Sorry to say Avien, but we don't care to support singleplayer...

Avien, release version is 144. Please update your repositories and go from there.
For now, start following the sticky SVN: reporting bugs instructions.
This thread was mostly to correct bugs found with the Gmod update.
Not saying there won't be more in release, but at least getting up to 144/release will let us start tracking up to date using normal methods.
