I was just wondering, is there anyway I can edit the group.txt so that admins/operaters CANT use admin commands on Superadmins?
This would be SO helpful :)
-
Isn't this the default behavior? Only superadmins can overcome immunity.
-
I thought so, but admins can !slay me, !ragdoll me ect :-\
-
did you give yourself immunity?

Technically, immunity is not set by default.
A superadmin adding themself would have to specify immunity, or it doesn't get set.
I also just realized, if they didn't use 'adduser', and followed our strongly recommended directions for adding to Garrysmod settings/users.txt ... immunity doesn't get set for superadmins.
Perhaps in the future we should consider making superadmins immune by default, all others not, unless specified by adduser.

So i type something along the lines of :
ulx adduser "Bam" superadmin [1]
?
-
you don't need the brackets.
adduser yourname superadmin 1
-
Ok, to clear things up.
if the name doesn't contain an spaces or symbols, you can just type their name EX: adduser bob group
if there is a space or symbols you have to use quotes EX: adduser "bob thorton" group
same thing applies for all arguments, so for immunity is only a single digit number so no spaces
so it would be:
adduser bob superadmin 1
adduser "bob thorton" superadmin 1

Thanks for your help guys....now I just have one major request.
I entered game to try out the new command line, I dnt have access to this command :S

{
}
thats it.. ALL my information & configuration is gone somehow :(
I was just wondering if someone could send me a default groups.txt via email? Or is there a way to refresh my current file?

If you ever want to get a clean groups.txt file, delete your current one from garrysmod/data/ULib and then simply restart your server and ULib will build a new one.

Many people don't follow the instructions in Ulib addons group.txt (Though, many have trouble understanding it)
Never edit /addons/ULib/data/ulib/groups.txt
Never edit /addons/ULib/data/ulib/groups.txt
Never edit /addons/ULib/data/ulib/groups.txt
Never edit /addons/ULib/data/ulib/groups.txt
:) :D
If you're going to make custom groups file,
ALWAYS create/edit a NEW <gmod root>/data/ULib/groups.txt (<--<<---- notice, there is no addons folder there)
ALWAYS create/edit a NEW <gmod root>/data/ULib/groups.txt (<--<<---- notice, there is no addons folder there)

Then when it totally breaks, you can follow Mr.Presidents instructions
