Title: My MOTD is causing Gmod to minimise itself.
Post by: Killers2 on August 23, 2008, 07:49:52 AM
I have no idea how to fix this. It opens up fine then minimise Gmod then when you restore it you can see the motd fine again.

Here is my MOTD code.

Did it minimize on the motd that ships with ULX as well?

Tried taking out any of the background image code or game monitor links/images?

Try taking out "target=_blank" from your links.

Source html interpreter doesn't have the full features of Internet Explorer, though it uses IE as its base.
I can't see outright what would do it. Those above are just where I would start.

I removed the links from the game monitor image since it wasnt really needed and that seemed to fix it  ;D

Thanks  :)

You may still be able to use it. Try closing the image 'img/ tag.
You have the <img src="blah">, but no </img> after it, before the closing of the anchor tag [/url]
No idea why it would minimize Gmod though.
Just a suggestion.

It started doing it again after the server reloaded and I removed the image completely and it still does it. Sometimes firefox comes up trying to download the MOTD file.

This happened to me when I joined any server; yet it stopped happening after I made GMod "Run in a window" instead of fullscreen...

This happens to me too on rare occasions.  (And I haven't changed the MoTD since between the occurrences) .  It has an image with link in it.
