Fun. I was wondering if he actually used real clips from collectors for him. Glad he emphasized that at the end.

When I got my first home (30 year loan), it was right after I'd purchased my first new car (5 year loan).
I told my mother it felt weird having items spread out over time. I was so used to up front cash. (Still prefer it when possible - I don't have a revolving credit card in my name)

She told me Welcome to the American way, (life) of debt, (liberty) (no freedom in debt), and the pursuit of happyness (being in debt to buy materialism)
Though I'm sure Debt isn't only an american way, sure seems we Americans have it down to a science.

Personally, if anyone has a lot of loans when they come out of undergrad, I'd recommend they check out the Palace Acquire (PAQ) program the Air Force has. They'll pay off all your student loans, give you a signing bonus, and pay to get you off to Master's school. :)

That song makes me all itchy and nervous.  Gotta go!

In all seriousness, I cut up our credit cards a long time ago. I like the debt card. No cash in my wallet for security reasons and I just use the cash in my account.  Some people are good with managing credit, I however am not one of them.
