Hey everyone.
I have just started my Garry's Mod Dedicated server for the 5Th time and i am tired of using recon to remote control it.
So i have looked at Mani's add on and Ulysses ULX, and I choose ULX.
Now i am wondering, if there is a basic starter guide somewhere.
If there is please let me know. :)

"ulx help" is all you need, friend. :)
-
Don't forget the ulx_readme.txt, which tells you how to add yourself as a superadmin to Garry's mod, which then ULX reads and places you as a superadmin.
THEN you can see all the "ulx help" commands.
-
Thanks for the answers :)
I have added myself as a superadmin by using my Steam ID.
Now when i hit the: !menu or !adminmenu, command in game, ULX tells me that i don't have access to that command.
If you want to help me, what information do you need from me?
It's a clean installation of my Dedicated Garry's mod server i have and my server is running in CMD.

If you downloaded the version from our download page, what we call our "release" version... Garry made changes to Gmod over several updates that don't allow the menus to work most of the time. Most console commands should still work though.
Megiddo, the project lead, said recently a new release was coming soon, but I've not seen any more mention of it since 2 or 3 weeks ago.
HOWEVER, if you're going to stick with running a server, no matter what type (dedicated or listen), then I recommmend learning about SVN. Several projects, including ULX (and other Ulysses code), Pheonix, Wire mod, all keep the latest (and most times beta, sometimes buggy) code in SVN repositories.
Our SVN information, and where to report bugs found in it, can be found in the forum area here aptly named "SVN Stuff"
Though our SVN code is still considered BETA and not fully released, I believe it actually works better than the old release code right now.

OK.
I'll wait for the new non-beta release to come out. Meanwhile I'll try the beta from SVN.
I am very familiar with SVN I have it installed to update my Wiremod.
Will it help if I post the error's I might find in the "beta" release, here in the forum? :)
And where can I post the error's ?
-
Yes, and in the SVN forum of course. :)

What's in SVN now is going to be the release as soon as I can get a spare moment.
