Title: Sourcebans Integration
Post by: soccercrazy195 on November 10, 2009, 05:10:52 PM
The Garry's Mod server I run is part of a gaming community of 30+ css/tf2/l4d servers. I was wondering if it is possible to integrate the ulx/ulib addon with sourcebans.

-Thanks,
Soccer

I have looked into it and his script was the only one I found. I wasn't able to find the link to interwave to the addon though, it seems the thread was deleted or something? Is there a way to get it?

The working (as of ULX 3.4...probably not SVN) code is in that Release post... the sentence below the code sample explains where to put it.
It was never released into a downloadable archive addon folder format.
It's a "copy/paste here" release.

And would that work with sourcebans when we add the script to the server? Also , I belive the server needs to connect to our mysql database.... does that script do that?

You have to have SourceBans installed on the Gmod server and configured to work with your database.
There are various instructions around the net for that.

Then ULib and ULX need to be installed for the Gmod server.
That release adds a ulx command that works with Sourcebans.
Sourcebans does your mysql database addition/monitoring for you, not ULX.

I'm not sure why that isn't clear to you in the release post.
