Title: Server still showing hooks.
Post by: reichbc on June 04, 2010, 04:27:37 PM
I have removed the ULX SVN from my server, in place of a different admin mod. (Sorry Guys  :( :( :( :( :( :( )
But the problem I am having is, whenever i pick someone up, it displays "Hook 'ulxPlayerPickup' Failed: <directory>\sh_ucl.lua:46: [ULIB] Unauthed Player. Removing Hook"

I have deleted all files ULib and ULX related - to my knowledge:
addons\ulib
addons\ulx
data\ulib

Did i miss something?

Did you have it installed on your client too? Otherwise you got all the files.

Might also make sure that you've shut down your server, deleted your /cache files, then restarted your server.
If you use fastdl, delete then re-up your cache to that server too.
Map changing a server doesn't do it. Gmod rebuilds only after a shutdown, restart.

We'd also like to know if you have a few moments why you're leaving Ulysses?

Honestly, i'm not leaving Ulysses because of a lack of service or function, etc. I'm jsut the type of person who prefers a GUI for what I do. I found that the easiest way for me to edit all the stuff for ULX that I used was to download the users.txt and groups.txt file and edit them by hand. It worked, but i wasn't really satisfied that I had to reload the server every time I made a single change.

ULX is a great admin mod. I'm just the GUI-type person.  ALso, I've tried the xGUI thing that the gentleman made, but I couldnt get my fingers around why it wasnt working.

Thanks for the input and I understand.
We hope to see you again once we've got XGUI included as part of the ULX release.
