Title: Ulx Odd problem...
Post by: Lshorty on January 12, 2011, 02:46:48 PM
Ok so i installed ULX and all the other stuff required for my new garrys mod server.

And When i do commands or add people to superadmin...etc it usually says " (Console) Added YOU To Group Superadmin " in colorful words right?

well mine doesn't do that, it shows my commands in blue and alot differently, i want it to be colorful.
How do i fix it?

I also updated my ulx, ulib, phx, with svn update.

Colorful comes with the ULib/ULX svn releases.
Make sure you've restarted your server.
I've no idea what you mean 'svn updater'
If you've actually used SVN, I recommend deleting /addons/ulx and /addons/ulib, then using SVN client to get latest.
See our SVN forum section for best way ..the topics you need are 'sticky' at top.

I'll tell you exaclty how i did this...
I created 4 folders called: ULX, ULib, PHX, and Wiremod...
then i installed svn, so i right-clicked on the folders and clicked "Svn Checkout" which is like the same as downloading them from this website and entered "http://ulyssesmod.net/ulib/trunk" that one was for ULib, theirs different links for the others.
and then i clicked "Svn Update" on them. Then restarted my server and didn't work.

I also tried downloading the files from this website and extracted them into my "addons" folder and still didn't work.

Edit: Ok so i just tired re-installing it and now it shows " (Console) Added YOU to group Superadmin " but with no color.

If you downloaded zip (extracted) _after_ svn, you now have the old files.
SVN are newest. Re-update/checkout for ULib, ULX.
(I'd go ahead and start over/deleting the old folders first)

Then start server back up.
Check/change any options using the Xgui menu.
Check any options manually in /data/ulx/config folders.
Restart server if manually changed.
One of those options control color.

If you have any access issue after that, check the FAQ section here that says 'having trouble with access'
