Title: Problem with adverts
Post by: matrixninja on December 26, 2012, 02:22:19 PM
Whenever I add an advert it doesn't update in the box on the right side of the menu. Adverts still appear but I can't edit them, nor can I remove them. I tried reinstalling ulx but the adverts dont go away. Any help?

ULX uses more than just /addons/ folders, so if during 're-install' you didn't delete/back up your <gmod server>/data/ulx files...they remain. :)
That being said, if they aren't working in menu, not sure re-installing would fix them.
Until Stickly Man (or Megiddo, if he feels so inspired) can look at the XGUI code for adverts to see why they aren't updating in menu, you can manually edit them in your gmod/data/ulx/adverts.txt file.
While at it, when running server and attempting to load the menu, editing adverts, check for any server console errors. (or client).

This... the xgui is currently buggy and adverts is one of the items currently broken. It should be fixed soon but until then you have to edit the file manually.

Ok thanks, I fixed the spam of adverts, but they still dont appear in the box. I noticed that refreshing XGUI helps with adverts not appearing.
