Title: No ULX Download.txt
Post by: LuaTenshi on August 12, 2013, 04:55:10 AM
The Download.txt for ULX is not being created on my server. Currently I am running Xenon and they say that the latest versions of ULX and ULib that they have are... 2013-06-24.

Should I try uploading the ULX I have on my client? Or is there a reason why that file is not being created?

---
I will be switching to NFOServers when I can.
Also if any one knows any good server hosts that are cheap please tell me.

Why not copy and paste it over? I don't believe we explicitly create it.

I will try thanks. Also I am a little new to FastDL would I have to include the maps in there too or?

That shouldn't be needed. You should only need to compress the map to .bz2 (bzip2) and upload it to the web server for fast dl to properly work with maps.

Shouldn't need to even include maps in downloads.txt.
Maps will automatically download if the fastdl has it when a player joins if he/she doesn't already have that map.
Downloads.txt is primarily meant for one-off sounds, models, etc not already part of a addon or pack.
Sure, you could USE it for maps, but I'd hate to join a server that forced me to download 10 maps when I first joined, to never return after one map.

Jam is correct.

Maps don't need to be added to the downloads.txt file. They DO however, need to be added to the FastDL directory.

I guess its time to start extracting from the workshop... and thanks. (Speaking of that Garry needs to make FastDL work with workshop items.)
