Hey guys, quite new around here.

I have a problem, my motd won't show up at all. I'm using the in-game MOTD settings in the menu in order to add my motd, using a website for my motd of course.

I check both, the "show motd when players join" and the "get motd from ulr" fields however when I leave and re-join, both fields are unchecked...:/

I have no idea what to do, where to look, already tried and checked the config itself but I couldn't find anything, anybody mind pointing me in the right direction?

I don't know about the issue, but I can redirect you to the config.
The config you will have to manually edit is inside <Garry's Mod Server directory>\data\ulx\config.txt. On line 11, there should be something saying "ulx showMotd", make sure that's set to 1.

Maybe one of your files is corrupted, backup your data and the custom commands you added and reinstall ULX.

Or wait till ULX-Professionals post here ^^

Is this a listen server or dedicated server? Any errors in console?

It's a dedicated server and there's no error whatsoever.

Did you check for errors at the server console and your client console?

Yep, no error whatsoever, I still haven't fixed it, no idea what to do anymore :(

What happens if you set it from the server console? That is, "ulx showMotd 1" in the server console.

Are you running ULX in a non-standard configuration? Say, by installing the lua files directly into the gmod root instead of running it as an addon? Or perhaps by running an unofficial port to Workshop?

It looks like ulx/modules/sh/menus.lua isn't being run on your server, and the most straightforward explanation is a non-standard configuration.

Where did you get your ULib and ULX from?
Where did you install them to on your server?
