Title: How do I change Max Wire hydraulics?

I searched this forum and google but there just seems to be no setting. When I spawn my truck dupe I get max wire hydraulic message but I cannot find the command for it.

ULX has nothing to do with limits, hence the "off-topic" move.
I don't know the exact answer, but it's likely something like sv_maxwire_hydraulics or something like that.

XGUI does allow users to edit (but not save) sandbox values while in-game. I have to maintain a list of known sliders, therefore, the list is probably out-of-date. I'll look into updating it when I have time.

Oh yeah this might be wire related. But it wasn't in the ULX menu. Also sbox_maxhydraulics or max wire hydraulics is not an excisting command. I'm sure the command should be right because it works if I change hydraulics with thrusters.

It just looks like there isn't a max wire hydraulic setting?

It sucks pretty bad becuase I think its limited to 20-30 but I need at least 50 hydraulics.

Maybe there is an other way to change it?

Most wire limits have a cvar to control them.

Yes they have, I can see them in ULX list and also in console. However: no max hydraulics setting. It's an unknown command.

Any ideas?

I'll work with Stickly Man to update our list of convars, likely the name was changed to something else.

Hello all,

Sorry for late reply but I have seen how to fix it.

For some reason gmod will tell you that ulx sbox_maxwire_hydraulics is an invalid or unknown cvar, but it isn't. If you add rcon in fron tof it.

Also in the ulx settings there is no limit for hydraulics, motors, latches, soundemitters and such. They have very weird command name cvars, like sbox maxwire_latchs for wired latches.

Maybe you could add them to the menu. I've seeked for over a week for these commands.

If you still don't understand - Yes, ULX will be updated with those when we have time.

UNTIL ULX is updated, we recommend you use the standard way to set limits at server startup (because even when not, ULX doesn't save those limits when you adjust them)
The default method is a server.cfg file.
