Can admins change peoples' usernames here like on phpbb forums?

Yes, but he never asked us, at least that I saw, to do so.
Done.

We learn to ignore signatures, and, it's an odd spot to put a "please change my username as it appears on the forum" message.
I saw it weeks ago. I thought it was a meme from some show/anime.
Like looney tunes "And I shall call him George"
