Title: Chat Tags forced by ULX?
Post by: Senior Derp on January 12, 2015, 06:02:14 PM
Hello,

I've recently setup a TTT server, all has been going well with players etc, however, ULX seems to be putting these chat tags from my rank next to my name, I'm completely sure it's ULX causing the issue, due to the fact when I remove it, the chat tags go away. I've looked through all the files and can't seem to find anything to remove them, am I missing something quite obvious?

Thank you,

That functionality does not exist in ULX.

ULib and ULX as obtained from official sources (our downloads page at https://www.ulyssesmod.net (https://www.ulyssesmod.net) or, recommended, Github https://github.com/Nayruden/Ulysses (https://github.com/Nayruden/Ulysses) ) do not have any chat tag capability.
Hence, why you've been unable to find anything in ULib or ULX folders.

It's likely you have an addon that relies on ULX to add chat tags.
Perhaps even TTT itself was "nice" enough to use it if ULX is installed.

Image attached is from vanilla sandbox server chat.
The [ULX] as shown is part of my actual Steam name and is not a coded tag.

Thank you both for your swift responses, and I apologize for overlooking that. When I first reached that conclusion, I questioned it, because I never remembered ULX having chat tag support. However, I'm still trying to figure out which addon is adding them, it seems to have nothing to do with hats2chat, so I'm quite stumped.

Yet again, thank you both so much! I figured it, just wasn't taking my time and missed something quite obvious! Anyways, thank you both, have a good rest of your evening.
