I stumbled across https://github.com/Nayruden/ulx Is this like a new version of ULX or something? What kind of schemes are you guys up to.
-
Huh.
Looks interesting, much better documented than their multipurpose repo (https://github.com/Nayruden/Ulysses), and... MoonScript?
Team Ulysses! Explain! :D
-
"Schemes are we up to"? ? Interesting. That makes it sound bad that we grow with time.
Since when is continuously improving methods and updating a product a scheme?
We've publicly stated in various threads that new features iare planned for ULX, and we continuously, if not slowly, strive to improve ULX.
In addition, there are also many private discussions no one but our team has seen. Documents long and lengthy.
That repo is just one potential future towards ULX v4.0

Sounds like scheming to me. ;)
Nah, but seriously, nice. Can't wait to see what becomes of the future of ULX. Knowing y'all, it'll be excellent work.

We're always exploring new directions we'd like to take for our projects. The "ulx" repository represents what might be ULX4, or might just be a playground for improved functionality. We had another repository similar to this one a long time ago: https://github.com/Nayruden/otlib. Most of the ULX-useful OTLib functionality got cannibalized back into ULX3 long ago.

It was a joke :-/
Great to hear though, excited to see what you guys do with it!
-
As long as it doesn't break everything, I love you. haha
-
It will.. if I have any say in it. :D
-
That section on getting a Windows dev environment set up for Moonscript and other various things makes me sad though. :( (And I wrote it!) It's almost easier to run a Linux VM and use Samba to make sure the files stay in sync.

But yes! Much scheming! The repository is actually a hoax set up to lure prying eyes! :P All we need to do is figure out how best to make things inconvenient and game-breaking as possible. Hey Megiddo, I hear GLua supports GOTOs, and I vote we replace any type of code blocks or flow structure with those. Delicious pasta.

Why don't you guys also include an engine module to make Garry's Mod run solely Lua 1.0 with Garry's added GLua functions? :D

Or name everything alphabetically. Don't name a function kickcommad(), just name it as function a(), its faster to type.

Obfuscation!

*sigh*
We've been caught...every night....trying to take over the world.
