Left = My edit. | Right = Original.

Took me 3 hours to figure out how to create an almost perfect restoration procedure. It involves some guessing, and is a bit tedious but it works.
Wanted to show off a bit. :3

PS. I totally didn't stay up until 4 AM making the above edit... and until 5 AM showing it off...

Hey, my forum time says you posted only at 2:50AM- that's not bad at all!  ;D What program/library did you use to do the restoration?

.. Better than that time I worked on XGUI all night till 7AM once...

I used Photoshop. I am a photoshop queen!

I have no idea about the math/logic behind it because the Photoshop code is probably so closely guarded that the adobe CEO has it on an encrypted USB inside a signal/bullet/bomb proof suitcase surgically attached to his arm, while he sleeps in his underground bunker in a forest filled with highly trained guard animals, and automated turrets.

What you do is you negate the color you don't want via the "color" filter in photoshop and then bring back some colours where you feel you need them.

I would imagine Photoshop's color filter is just "adding" that color to all of the pixels. Something like taking the mean of each pixel's color and the color filter.
