Recently whenever I load up the XGUI, the little "loading progress bar" gets stuck on "Getting data: bans - 94.44%".
The XGUI will not refresh any entries, although they do however physically change.
I don't know if this is related to the problem, but it's appearing suddenly.

Huh, that is odd. Is it happening just for you? Or for other admins on your server as well? There might be a corrupted ban data that's causing some issues. Could you send me your bans.txt and cfg/banned_users.cfg files so I can test locally on my server when I get a moment?

I am unsure at this time if any other admins are experiencing this problem, nobody has mentioned the problem yet. Both files are empty.
Also, the problem is preventing anything I do in the XGUI from "completing" or successfully altering whatever I changed. (Contrary to what I said earlier)

Both files are empty.
Just to make sure, you're checking the files on your SERVER, and not your client, right? They should be garrysmod/cfg/banned_users.cfg and garrysmod/data/ulx/bans.txt.
If those are still empty, are you running a SQL-based custom ban solution, or some kind of sourcebans setup?

That is correct, both files are empty. I checked in my server files. I am currently not using any third-party administration software.

Update on the situation.
Upon using URM to add a weapon to a loadout, bans became stuck at 92%, using it again, it seems to have fixed the issue. I'll let you guys know should the issue return.
Edit: It's been a couple hours later now, the problem returns upon map change, server restart, etc. Sometimes trying to fix it this way doesn't work at all.

Looks like you're not alone with this issue. Could you post your addon list and (if you have the time) try disabling some addons to see if it starts working again?

Also, I have no clue as to what might have caused this, and due to the sheer amount of addons I have installed, I'll just disable all addons momentarily to see what happens.
Edit: I have disabled all the workshop addons and the problem remained. I didn't disable the ones in the server directory due to the fact that they haven't caused me problems before.

Run a "ulx debuginfo" on your server, and send me the output (debugdump.txt). I will compare with the addon list from the other guy and see what matches. Good to know that the workshop addons weren't causing the issue, that'll help us narrow it down. If you can try to strip your server down to just ULX/ULib on sandbox temporarily and see if it persists, that'll help too.

Unfortunately, the server was hacked the day before and some files may have been altered. The debugdump may be obsolete as it was generated 2 days ago. I'll generate a second one that is up-to-date, however the hijacking completely obliterated ULX and now it's non-functional, so I don't know if it will even be accurate.

Well, I didn't find anything too interesting, but here's a rough list of addons you have in common with the other guy:

You can try removing these first if you like, but I would really like to see ONLY ulx/ulib running on vanilla sandbox to see if the problem goes away. (That is, if this is still an issue since your server data files got messed up). Hope this helps! :)

I apologize, but fixing the server is going to take a bit because ULX still doesn't seem to function. I've reset it, reinstalled the files, etc. Going to try a fresh restart and see if anything changes.

When you reset it, did you remove the data files?

This is an important step in resetting ULX.

I reset it a second time and it seems to work now. I'm currently slowly adding addons.

The URM author was last active in January, so here's to hoping, but I wouldn't expect him to notice if you post a bug in his thread.

Sorry to post spam, but did you try running the server with JUST ULX/ULib and URM? Was it still broken?
It may be that it started breaking when you added URM, but it could be something colliding with URM that just happens to break XGUI as collateral damage. Since URM hooks into XGUI so closely, it's possible that even if URM isn't broken, if something is incompatible with it, that it might break XGUI.
Just to be double sure, you might try running URM with only ULX/ULib and nothing else.

I still need to try that, otherwise, with all the other addons, or completely vanilla w/ ulx and ulib, it has no errors. Also, as long as it is helping, it's not spam. :D
Sadly, URM is pretty crucial in the operation of the server as I don't want guests coming in and spawning 9999999^983229 nukes.

I believe I did test it with just URM and vanilla ULX. Sadly, the issue still persisted. I'm glad you also came along at this time! :D
