Woot Woot. Compy time
« on: December 11, 2007, 03:40:27 PM »
Well it all started with me needing some more RAM powa.

So I ordered 1.5 gigs off newegg.
And a new EVGA Nvidia GeForce 8600GT for only 80 bucks.

Because ATI is crap. Sick of dealing with them.

Lucky me, a memory stick was corrupt, shorted my motherboard, and screwed me over.

SOOO, after searching hundreds of motherboards, I finally chose one, and ordered DDR2 Ram to fit. Spent 2 hours getting it all installed last night, and now it finally works after a week or two of pain. I recently had to reupgrade my HD too. Yeck.

But now, after repairing windows from the windows CD, this thing is great. I can run any HL2 game on max settings, 16x AA and 16x AF, no lag what-so-evar. I could cry.  :'(

It plays Crysis on medium with no lag either. Great looking shizzles. Ize a happy man.

You need more memory! 1.5 GB is laughable these days.
Experiencing God's grace one day at a time.

I have 2GB DDR2.

You misunderstands, ye see. My old motherboard fried, it had 4 SDRAM slots. I had 2 256 sticks in, adding a 1 gb stick and a 512 stick, totalling 2gb.

Now that motherboard is friend, and I have 2 gig sticks of DDR2
